Precautions

1. Professional Installation Recommended. The SE-5000W involves extremely high DC amperages and potentially lethal AC voltages. We strongly recommend having a licensed solar/electrical professional perform the installation and hardwiring, especially when connecting to a home breaker sub-panel.
2. Please do not connect the inverter with the grid power, and a reverse connection of positive and negative is also forbidden.
3. Please do not overload. If your applications are inductive loads (such as air conditioners, refrigerators, well pumps, or compressors), please choose an inverter whose continuous power is 3–7 times higher than the rated watts of your appliances. For refrigerators and AC units, we suggest using an inverter with at least 5–10 times higher power than the appliance's running wattage.
4. Please turn off the load first, then turn off the inverter. As there is a soft start function, please turn on the inverter first, then turn on your loads, or the output may not be stable during the first few seconds.
5. A red light flashing indicates that the input voltage is abnormal. At 5000W loads, input voltage drops very quickly with undersized batteries-check your battery bank capacity and cable connections immediately.
6. Please use the set of standard heavy-duty battery cables we provide. For the 12V version, the DC current draw at full load exceeds 450A-use all provided cables and ensure cable runs are as short as possible. A 24V or 48V input version is strongly recommended to reduce current, cable size requirements, and voltage drop.
7. Battery Bank Sizing: A massive battery bank is mandatory. For 12V systems, we recommend a minimum of 400Ah. For 48V systems, a minimum of 200Ah. Ensure your battery management system (BMS) supports the required continuous discharge rate.
8. DC Fuse/Breaker Required: Install an appropriately rated DC class-T fuse or DC breaker between your battery bank and the inverter. Calculation: Continuous Power ÷ Lowest Input Voltage = Minimum Fuse Rating (e.g., 5000W ÷ 10V = 500A fuse for 12V systems).
9. If you plan to use a battery charger with this inverter, please contact our sales team about adding an EMI filter to ensure optimal inverter performance.
