Q: Can I add a fuse or circuit breaker between the inverter and battery?

A: Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Calculate: Continuous Power ÷ Lowest Input Voltage = Minimum Fuse Rating.

 

Q: Why do sparks appear when connecting the battery cables?

A: This is normal. The inverter has internal capacitors that draw a brief charge current upon first connection. It does not indicate a malfunction.

 

Q: Why does the output voltage drop or the inverter shut down under load?
